Featured Review

Kinda bleak, pessimistic vibe along the lines of "Dust in the Wind" message is the aspect that this piece delivers quite effectively...effectively communicating depression...wonderful job, ya nihilistic bastards.
Everything is solid through this thing, but probably the outstanding member for myself is the guitar.
The other co-star here is generally the song itself. Some fine transitions from verse to chorus and back again, with some variation thrown in through the course of it to help keep things interesting.
Like the vocals, but think the last time through the chorus should've thinned out the blend so that the track going for the ecstastic highs had more room to play...maybe fade the regular chorus part into a thinner eq/pan location where the lead vocal takes off.
Drums seem far more prominent than the bass, the latter of which I didn't really notice as much as I might have expected during the big parts.
Definitely a solid, well-focussed & original piece of work.

Lyrics

Seasons Sigh

One day summer ended
and the stars all fled from the sky
but autumn leaves
weren't red and gold
and silently they cried

winter winds surrounded us
as the sun was turned to ice
the promises pretending
on wings that wouldn't fly

Forever Dies, no resurrection in sight
the seasons sigh,
with no hesitation in my mind

peace of blue was blackened
and the thunder stole the night
the sweetened scent of solitude was burned by lightning strike (strife)

the bending trees stood suffering,
the birds sang songs of fright
and colors painted yesterday,
bled to gray from white

Forever Dies, no resurrection in sight
the seasons sigh,
with no hesitation in my mind

where did it all go, when did it fall
why do we have to know,
that seasons sigh at all

in a moment summer ended
and I can't tell you why
but all that seasons send us,
is lost without new life

every drop of rain that falls,
rusts the hands of time
and all the stormclouds come and go and wash the love from lies

Forever Dies, no resurrection in sight
the seasons sigh,
with no hesitation in my mind
no hesitation in my mind,
no resurrection in sight
the seasons sigh
